Our second offer of matching fragrance products is the large as life '14'. We needed a name that connects with a strong character, and for those of you from my era, who will ever forget local hero Wolraad Woltemade? '14' refers to the number of souls he saved from a sinking ship, braving the waves with only his horse and determination, unfortunately, their brave efforts led to their demise on this fateful day, 1st of June, 1773. He never stopped from returning to the people in distress and showed immense bravery, unfortunately, the hero and his steed were swarmed by 6 desperate sailors upon his 8th return to the ship and they all drowned in the notorious Cape Seas. This fragrance is heavy and manly in the classical sense and is a superb classical fragrance. The top notes are wavy Bergamot, Coriander, and Clary sage, the medium notes that will rescue you from being ordinary are Cloves, Yasmin, Geranium, and Cinnamon, while the base horsepower will be galloping Vetiver, Oakmoss, Patchouli, Honey, and Leather. This fragrance is powerful, graceful, and proud, much the same as Wolraad and his steed, if the smell was an 80's rock song, this one would most certainly be 'Here I Go Again' by Whitesnake. The summer version (frosted bottle) gives you a chilled wash over the cheeks that lasts well into your day, apply when freshly shaved and while your face is still well moisturized for the best effect.
The shaving soap is made using our trusty Glycerin base, we might expand this to other bases (tallow/plant-based/all natural) if the market demands it, but for now, we need to get an economical, easy-to-use soap out there, and with usage of less than 1 gram of soap per shave when using this base you are looking at around 200 shaves per tub! The ingredients are listed in the pics, we omitted 'natural essential oils', so please be aware. We had to lather this one up with a horsehair brush, and boy did it create just as much foam as the tumbling waves would have on this fateful day! The 30 mm horse knot worked great in the bigger bowl, and the strong fragrance soon filled the space around my person. Some shampoo bars, a solid cologne, and a roll-on type deodorant might be added soon enough.
